Luckily I trusted my instincts and backed off.  My current designer is fabulous and I am extremely happy.  I think it is important to work with someone who listens carefully and use their professionalism and expertise to help you to execute your vision.</description>

		<description>Nice article Nicolette. We prefer that clients take responsibility for as much as possible too - especially registering their own domain names. I have to say though that there are occasional sites where there is too much complexity involved with integrating several systems (like email, CRMs, payment processing, etc) for the artist to get their head around everything. In that situation your advice about keeping ownership of account info, logins, and backup copies is extremely important. Even with all those safeguards though it&#039;s incredibly important to work with a designer that you feel good about - so spending some time on the phone before signing up is a good idea!</description>
